TUD featured on the New England Cable News!
Tonight’s New England Cable News broadcast featured a great segment on my Liberty journey and its aftermath. It’s embedded below, or click here.
Of note in the segment: my mediocre Frisbee skills (which NECN kindly edited to remove the worst flubs), the slightly stilted but nevertheless funny cameos by my friends Jason and Jenny, and my chat with Beth Shelburne, the anchor who produced the piece, and who is a lovely interviewer and a consummate professional. Big ups to everyone involved.
Now off to work on my Frisbee…

I don’t know, man. That looked like a pretty good forehand throw to me…

It’s funny, but no where in the Liberty Way does it say “you can’t hug for more than 3 seconds”. I just think it’s humorous that rumor is spread around like truth!
However, the correct LU Way rule is “anything other than hand holding is inappropriate” - of course, (and thankfully) RA’s don’t go by the letter of the law on this one but by the spirit of the law (which is where the supposed “hugging rule” I guess comes from).

I went to the bookstore yesterday to study up on current memoirs since I recently signed a contract to do one of my own, and I wanted to pop in and let you know that yours stood out as one of the more refreshing, easy to read, interesting ones I flipped through. I have a few others I’d already bought that I need to finish first, but as soon as possible I’m going to get yours and read it all the way through. It really grabbed me, even just during a casual flip-through in the bookstore. I’ll give it a plug on my blog when I do.
Look forward to reading more from you!
