Kevin,
I grew up in a feverishly evangelistic Christian denomination. And although I’ve not been able to leave Christianity behind entirely, my relationship with it remains complicated, and the relationship is unlikely to simplify anytime soon. I know people like those you met at Liberty, and your article shows the kind of grace I aspire to and achieve less frequently than I would like. In that sense, the “you” in your article is more Christian than I am. Thanks for a terrific piece. You’ll be selling at least one copy of your book (I also plan to recommend it to my friends.)
